Complex conflicts and humanitarian crises continue to ravage our communities in South Africa and hinder our societies’ overall well-being and prosperity. Young women are often the most impacted by these crises, bearing the brunt of conflict in our communities – from increased gender discrimination and violence to the waning of gender-sensitive structures and young women’s programming. We provide an empowerment programme for young women to be involved in peacebuilding and mediation, leading to lasting, positive peace beyond just the silencing of guns.
